My boyfriend and I recently attended an acroyoga workshop at our local yoga studio. It was our first time and it was a blast to say the least! We also learned a lot from each other. We had to work as a team to get into some of the more challenging poses. We also had to completely trust each other. Going to yoga with a loved one is always a fun date!
I have been doing yoga for about a year now and it has completely transformed my life. Before practicing yoga regularly I was a nervous wreck and was constantly anxious. I did not know how to slow down and to stay present. I still sometimes struggle with these things however after practicing yoga my anxieties are a lot more manageable.
The benefits of yoga are countless and I would recommend it to everyone. Over the past year I have become stronger, more flexible, and my balance is a lot better. I was skeptical at first because I was not flexible at all and was so weak. I could barely do one push up. I would always see these yogis doing the craziest poses and thought thats where I should be able to start. Little did I know they had been practicing for years!
Going to a yoga class is my favorite part of the day. If I go in the morning it is a good way for me to wake up and I always end up having a great day. Or I go in the evening after I have been working at my computer all day. It is a good way to stretch out my back and muscles. If you have not already tried yoga get your butt to a class. Your body & mind deserve it!
