When I first started blogging I had no idea how much thought, time, and effort went into it. I thought it was as simple as putting on a cute outfit, taking a picture with my iPone, and calling it a day. I had no idea I would soon be sitting in hair & makeup with a photographer ready to go!
I reconnected with an old friend, Elizabeth Canzonetti who is a hair & makeup artist. She is fabulous and so creative. She mostly does all my hair and makeup for all my photoshoots. She usually works on me for about four hours and we have the best time laughing, girl talking, and just being as creative as possible.
Elizabeth loves what she does and is so passionate about making people feel beautiful!
We decided to go with french waves and a dark eye.
Just adding some finishing touches! Oiling up my legs!
Elizabeth recently introduced me to Jerusha Tru, a Salt Lake City Photographer. Jerusha is so talented and has quite an eye!! She knows how to get that perfect picture. And not just one perfect picture but hundreds of them! We are such a great little trio. Love you girls!
Jerusha knows just how to maximize that last bit of sunshine!
I love these closeup ones! The black eyeshadow really brought out my green eyes.
Time for a touch up! Usually you can catch me running away from Elizabeth because she is a perfectionist (in a good way). Hehe
I found this dress at a used clothing store! I think it is so flirty and fun. Surprisingly it is from H&M.
This fur jacket was so hot…it was about 100 degrees outside!
This next outfit is maybe one of my favorites. A lot of the tulle skirts I see are so puffy and I don’t really like that. However this one just has one layer and so its more flowy. Love it!! Again I found this at a used clothing store. Score!
Elizabeth wanted to make me look a little more grundy so after the first couple outfits she put the MAC Paint Pot eyeshadow on. It made the black eyeshadow just melt down my face. It was awesome! I looked like a snapchat filter!!
As a blogger I usually bring about four outfits to a photoshoot. I usually create a changing room in my car but if we are in a hurry and theres no one around…
I can change in record time!!
Gotta love my Dr. Martens.
Just snap chatting the world! (catherine92)
And then we get to clean up! Usually its past 9:00 at night and we are exhausted!
I love my team of people I get to work with! I am so grateful for all of them. Even though a lot of hard work goes into these photoshoots we can still find fun and laughter. Also the finished product is amazing and is what keeps me going.
