I grew up in Seattle, Washington but moved to Utah about five years ago. Every summer I always take a trip to Seattle to visit family and friends. It is my favorite part of summer! The weather is also so gorgeous in August. It did not rain the whole time we were there! Very rare.
I brought my boyfriend, Andrew. He had never been and so it was so much fun because we did some tourist things. The first thing we did was go out on Lake Washington in my Dad’s boat. It was perfecting boating weather.
My dad and I.
Andrew and I then took the ferry boat over to Bainbridge Island. My mom lives over there and so we went to stay with her for the night. We had a beautiful view of the city! I also had just purchased this beautiful wrap at a store on Ballard Ave. called Horseshoe. Very cute boutique!
I got to see my brother which was a plus!
My mom’s house is on the beach and we have been coming here since I was a little girl. There are many pictures of my brother and I in this same spot!
We then went to a family party for my uncle’s birthday. I LOVE when we all get together since I don’t get to see them all the time. This is a picture of my Grandma and Cousin, Laura. We are always thankful for Laura. 😉
This is my other cousin, Fitz! He is a cutie!
God created cousins so we could have additional siblings! Growing up I did everything with this crew. So much fun!
On Sunday Andrew and I went to walk the loop trail in Discovery Park in Magnolia. Discovery Park is my favorite place to walk in Seattle. It is so quiet and there are so many cool spots to go. It is nice to get away from the craziness of the city for a few hours. I grew up going there all the time so there are so many wonderful memories there.
Sand dunes at Discovery Park. My brother and I used to come here and jump around when we were little.
The last day we went to the Pike Place Market. I spent most of my life in Seattle but never went to the famous gum wall! It was actually pretty disgusting but so cool!
We left our gum globs there. Good times!
Peace out Seattle!
